Born in Cuba to professional photographers, Robin Pau grew up immersed in visual storytelling, which ignited his passion for painting. Trained at the prestigious San Alejandro Academy of Fine Arts and the Superior Institute of Art, he graduated with honors in less time than usual, distinguished by his technical mastery.
Inspired by masters such as Rubens, Velázquez, and the British portrait tradition, Robin blends classical techniques like verdaccio, grisaille, and oil glazes with a contemporary sensibility.
His works, such as the portrait of Julie, Countess of Sandwich, for the Montagu family, capture the essence of his subjects with depth and elegance, destined to become family heirlooms.
He has exhibited at the Turin Art Fair 2019 and in solo shows such as ”Autumn” (2019) and ”Frames per Second” (2015).
From his studio in Miami, Robin creates paintings that combine technical precision and emotion, inviting viewers to connect with timeless stories.
